Is the seasoned carte’s japanese a5 wagyu beef branded?
All our Japanese A5 Wagyu beef are from Kagoshima prefecture. To ensure our A5 is born, raised, and shipped from the Kagoshima prefecture, our farms provide certificate of authenticity.

How are the seasoned carte products packed?
The Seasoned Carte shipping box will include your order individually vacuum packed (IVP) and frozen to preserve the freshness and flavor.
What is the typical shelf life of my products once they're delivered?
Both your seafood and wagyu purchases can safely remain in your freezer for 1 year, however, we encourage you to enjoy them within 6 months for an optimal eating experience.
Can I refreeze frozen items which have thawed slightly during transit?
We maintain the highest temperature control standards. It is possible under some conditions for frozen products to partially thaw in transit. We do not recommend re-freezing your seafood. As long as your seafood arrives very cold to the touch (at or below 40°F), it can be stored in your refrigerator, however please remove all seafood from the vacuum packaging to a plate which can be covered with plastic wrap or a zip top bag and cook within 2 days. Wagyu that has thawed slightly during transit can be refrozen until ready to prepare according to our thawing instructions.
How long can I leave defrosted products in my refrigerator before I cook?
We encourage you to cook your products within 24 hours of removing from freezer to defrost. After 24 hours of defrosting (or 48 hours of defrosting for Wagyu), your seafood purchases should be cooked immediately. If you choose not to cook your seafood immediately after defrosting you must remove from the vacuum packaging to either a plate which can be covered with plastic wrap or a zip top bag, held under proper refrigeration and cooked within 2 days. However, your beef products can remain in the package and held under proper refrigeration for up to 3 days after defrosting.
Is the seasoned carte packaging sustainable and eco-friendly?
Sustainability and minimizing waste is important to us. We’ve carefully selected high-performance eco packaging materials with a sufficient amount of dry ice or reusable ice gel packs in order to ship with reduced “empty air”, therefore reducing waste and environmental impact.
Our eco-friendly shipping box is made of 100% recyclable, biodegradable, and compostable materials. Please note that most of the dry ice in your box may evaporate during transit, but your products should remain frozen. If you have any questions, please contact us via our Contact page.
Where does the seasoned carte ship to?
We currently ship to the 48 lower states in the USA only.
How much does shipping cost?
Our standard shipping and handling rate is $50 and orders under $100, $25 for orders $100-$149 and over $150 ship free! To qualify for free shipping, your order total after any applied discount must be more than $150.
Can I specify what day of the week my box is delivered?
At this time, we cannot guarantee delivery on a specific day of the week.
What is your weekly shipping schedule?
We ship orders on Monday and Wednesdays.
All orders that ship on Mondays must be placed by Sunday at 11:59pm EST.
All orders that ship on Wednesdays must be placed by Tuesday at 11:59pm EST.
Some holiday shipping days may vary.
Can I ship an order to P.O. Box or multiple addresses?
We cannot ship to P.O. Box and we can only have one shipping address per order. However, you may place multiple orders.
Do I have to be present in order to receive my delivery?
We ship our meat and seafood in insulated boxes with plenty of dry ice or ice gel pack to keep frozen. However, while you do not need to be present to accept your order, we do suggest being aware of when your delivery arrives so you are able to ensure your products receive proper refrigeration or freezing in a timely fashion.
How long can my box sit outside?
While temperatures vary throughout the year, we suggest retrieving your delivery within 4-6 hours of delivery. This will ensure your purchases remain frozen, or in extreme weather conditions at least refrigerator cold (below 40°F) in which case your product remains safe.
How do I handle the dry ice or ice gel packs in my delivery?
Please use gloves or a towel to remove dry ice by avoiding touching with your bare hands.
Please make sure the dry ice packs are completely evaporated before disposal. Keep out of reach of pets and children. Ice gel packs are reusable. Store them in your freezer and use them to keep food cold on road trips, picnics. The product contains no substances which are considered to be hazardous to health. Throw them away anytime they are punctured or leaking.
Can I return my order?
Because our products are perishable, it is our policy that products should never be returned to us except where specifically requested by The Seasoned Carte. If you are not satisfied with our products, please contact us via our Contact page with your order number, name, item, and detail. We may offer you a full or partial credit or refund of the purchase price for that item.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express as well as Shop Pay, Amazon Pay, PayPal and Google Pay.
Do you charge domestic sales tax?
Sales tax is applicable in certain states based on state and local tax rules.
How will I know if my order is confirmed?
You will receive an order confirmation via email.
How can I track the status of my order?
Once your order has shipped and is in transit, you'll receive another email from us with a tracking number and information on the status of your delivery.
When will my credit card be charged?
Credit card payments are processed when your order is placed.
Cancellation and refund
Can I modify or cancel an order?
You can modify or cancel your order while it is on "On Order" status. Once we processed it and status is changed to “Processed” or “Shipped”, your order is no longer modifiable and cannot be cancelled. Please check updated information available in the Order History section of My Account page.
Can I return my order?
Because our products are perishable, it is our policy that products should never be returned to us except where specifically requested by The Seasoned Carte team. Please note The Seasoned Carte does not accept unauthorized returns.
