Shrimp Dumplings, also called haukau, are one of the most popular Cantonese dim sum. Filled with shrimp, bamboo shoot, sesame oil and seasonings.

Authentic Asian Shrimp Wontons cook up crispy and flakey with a flavorful filling of shrimp, carrot, water chestnuts, and bamboo shoots.

Cooking tips

DO NOT THAW Shrimp Dumplings before cooking. Cook frozen.

The traditional method of cooking shrimp dumpling is lining a steamer basket with parchment paper or a leaf of Napa cabbage (to avoid sticking) and cook for 8-10 minutes to an internal temperature of 165°F.

Alternately, you can pan fry/steam your dumplings. Simply add 1 Tbsp. oil to a nonstick pan and heat over medium heat. Carefully add dumplings to pan and allow to cook 2-3 minutes on one side. Add ¼ cup water to pan and cover with lid. Turn heat to low and allow to steam for 8 minutes. Finish cooking by removing lid and allowing to cook an additional 2 minutes. Serve with soy sauce or other dipping sauce.

DO NOT THAW Shrimp Wontons before cooking. Cook frozen.

To cook, preheat oven to 400°F. Place wonton in single layer on nonstick baking pan or lightly greased pan and cook for 10- 12 minutes or until crispy.

Alternately, you can prepare in your air fryer. Preheat air fryer to 375°F and cook 8-10 minutes. Serve with Sweet Chili Sauce or other dipping sauce.
